Love and Dance Battle of the Styles 2023 - Festival Kizomba à Dallas, United States

Southside Productions and The Golden Standard present the premier collaborative event of the season! “Love & Dance” BATTLE OF THE STYLES Designed to creatively and collaboratively bridge the gap between two genres: this event aims to unite the communities of Kizomba and B. Zouk to create an all inclusive experience you won’t want to miss! Last year these two communities. Met for the first time. We hugged, laughed, cried, and of course danced. This year we plan on diving a little deeper into both styles. Each dance has many sub categories. For Kiz we have Semba, Urbankiz, Afrobeats, Tarraxo, and more. For B.Zouk there is Lamba, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Neo, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to cross train with nationally and internationally recognized artists, as well as have the opportunity to see their favorite artists and instructors dance across genre lines. We are wanting to push the limits of norms. Along this journey there will be plenty of activities to push your talents to reach new heights! It’s not a competition, it’s a prototype. And at the end of the day….. All is Fair in Love and Dance.
