Beyond Kizomba Angola Cultural Trip 3rd edition 2023 - Festival Kizomba à Luanda, Angola

1️⃣ INTRO: Welcome to the 3rd edition of #BeyondKizomba, the cultural immersion program in Angola that is designed by Rui Djassi Morácen, the founder of the University of Kizomba, in partnership and with the logistics support of Kunanga Life, a registered Angolan cultural tourism agency. The program is tailor-made with kizomba/semba lovers in mind, i.e. people like you who want to have a great time experiencing Angolan culture and history in Angola beyond just dancing. Yes, there will be plenty of dancing too but Angola has so much more to offer you beyond kizomba/semba. If you want to have a look at how much fun people had in previous editions, please visit the Kunanga Life page on IG: instagram.com/kunanga_life Note: the final detailed itinerary of activities may changes from edition to edition and the organizers reserve the right to share it only with the final participants who have their spots booked and fully paid. 2️⃣ MAXIMUM CAPACITY: For this trip, we can only accommodate 20 people so spots will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. There is a cap of 15 tickets for women and a cap of 5 tickets for men. 3️⃣ TRIP DATES: ✈️ You can arrive at Luanda International Airport (LAD) at any time on Thu, 19 Oct – this first day is usually dedicated primarily to acclimatization, rest and recuperation from long flights, foreign currency exchange, and overall settling into your new temporary environment. It will be the first official day of all program activities which typically begin with a group lunch as well as some light dancing in the evening. ✈️ You can depart from Luanda International Airport (LAD) at any time on Mon, 30 Oct. Note that the last official group activities is Sun, 29 Oct, so book your return flight for the following day. Those attendees who have late-afternoon or evening flights on Monday can use their last hours in Luanda for souvenir shopping, resting, beach time, self-care (massages, nails, hair, etc) as well as for private dance classes. We offer complimentary late-checkout from the hotel on Mon, 30 Oct, so you can stay at the hotel until whatever time your flight departs. 4️⃣ PACKAGE DETAILS: The price of the package is EUR 1.690 / USD 1,790 and it includes the following main items: ✅ Airport pick-up & drop-off ✅ Guesthouse accommodation (11 nights) ✅ Three (3) meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) ✅ ALL group daytime activities (incl. tours, visits, etc) ✅ ALL group nightlife activities (incl. access to dance parties and nightclubs) ✅ ALL group dance classes (incl. kizomba, semba, etc) - private classes are booked and paid separately. ✅ Ground transportation for ALL group activities under the program. Note: the cost of the visa application and airfares are not included and therefore both are to be borne by each participant individually. The same applies to private dance classes, medication/pills, personal care (haircuts, pedicures, manicures, massages, etc) and any other extras that are not included in the standard package. 5️⃣ PAYMENT PLANS: As an incentive, if you pay the full package upfront by/before Mar 31st, you get a €90 / $90 discount and the total amount due is €1.600 / $1,700. All meals – regardless of the location – include at least 1 drink, which can be a beer or sodas or juice. Meals outside of the hotel will also include drinks, which can be anything (alcoholic or non- alcoholic beverages), provided that the cost of the meal for each person does not exceed a reasonable amount to be stipulated by the organizers. 🔟 ACCOMMODATION INFO: The main lodging hub will be at one of the best guesthouses in Luanda (or an equivalent 3-star hotel), centrally located in one of Luanda's safest neighborhoods, with 24/7 security guards, extremely friendly staff, a vibrant atmosphere, within 5-10 minutes from downtown attractions and evening dance clubs. Part of the reason why this all-inclusive 11-day package is so affordable is that the cost is based on a shared room arrangement (1 king/queen-size bed or 2 single beds).
