It’s a unique celebration of spring, life, music, dance, community, African roots, authentic connections and international unity. CBKW features 3 days of dance classes, 4 nights of evening dance parties, and a variety of social activities. During the event this group is to also connect for ride shares when catching rides from and to the airport, exploring DC and traveling between the Weekender activities. The two nearest airports are DCA and IAD. BWI is a little further but often has better flights, so if you’re flying in, you may want to investigate it as an option. WELCOME PARTY & AFTER PARTIES 😁🎉 The official Welcome Party and Weekender pass pick-up will be held at Mix Bar & Grill at 8241 Georgia Ave #200, Silver Spring, MD 20910 on Thursday, March 23. 7:00pm and until 2:00am. Admission is included in the full and all-nights weekender passes. Farewell Brunch & Social will be held at Inca Social at 2670 Avenir Pl, Vienna, VA 22180 on Monday March 27 from 1pm to 4pm. The official After Party with DJ Casanova and DJ Afrodeshiak will take place on Thursday March 30th at Mix Bar & Grill starting at 8pm. Admission is not included in the Weekender pass. TICKET TRANSFERS Weekender passes are not refundable but can be transferred to another attendee before the transfer request deadline of March 14, 2023. Transfer process is as follows: 1. Pay the transfer fee on the Eventbrite tickets page. 2. Message our Facebook page (preferred) or email to cbkizdc@gmail.com by March 14 with order number for the pass you want to transfer, your name and email address as they appear on the order, the order number for the transfer fee and the first and last name and email address of the person you wish to transfer the pass to. PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY Anyone arriving with or developing visible symptoms of respiratory illness during the event, will not be admitted. This policy is subject to change and may be loosened or tightened depending on any applicable public health mandates in effect at the time of the event. Any changes to the above policy will be communicated via official event pages and emails to ticketholders. Participation is subject to formal code of conduct policies.
