1️⃣ INTRO: Welcome to the 6th edition of #BeyondKizomba, the cultural immersion program in Angola that is designed by Rui Djassi Morácen, the founder of the University of Kizomba initiative, in partnership with – and backed by the logistics support of – Kunanga Life, a legally registered Angolan cultural tourism agency. NB: our trips are NOT kizomba dance festivals/marathons. If that is what you want, then we kindly recommend that you look elsewhere. Our cultural immersion programs are tailor-made with kizomba/semba lovers mind, i.e. people who want to have a great time experiencing Angolan culture at the source BUT we include a vast array of activities/tours that are beyond just dancing. Yes, there will be plenty of dancing too but Angola has so much more to offer beyond kizomba/semba. Helping you explore that hidden, not-so-obvious yet precious side of our beloved country is the main reason why Kunanga Life was created. Word-of-mouth and voluntary reviews/testimonials have been our main form of marketing so far. Nonetheless, we are in the process of revamping our social media pages with content from our previous 5 editions so you can have a glimpse at how much we have impacted people's lives since our pilot trip in Oct 2022. Important Note: #BeyondKizomba trips are never a copy-cat of each other. The itinerary of activities/tours/outings, etc, changes from edition to edition and it is only finalized a few weeks before the trip starts. The organizers reserve the right to share the detailed program only with the confirmed trip participants who have registered to book their spots and fully paid the package fee. 2️⃣ MAXIMUM CAPACITY / SPOT AVAILABILITY: There is usually a long waitlist of people who wanted to attend our previous sold-out editions so we typically accommodate those folks before the remaining spots are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. We also put a cap on the number of spots for men and for women in order to achieve some gender balance and to optimize group dynamics/chemistry.
